In this first of two certificate programs on leadership principles, we will examine various leadership traits, styles, and qualities. The course is designed to enhance your understanding of leadership principles and their applications. Among the many topics we'll explore in this certificate program, is the importance of having and leading with vision. We'll also study the factors that motivate individuals to assume leadership positions in the first place and the significance of values and empowerment in effective leadership. Specific topics include situational leadership, organizational climate, moral dilemmas, personal integrity, servant leadership, and participative management.

Are the weekly video conferences required?

Yes. To complete the program, participants are required to attend a 1 hour instructional video conference each week during weeks 1, 2, and 3, of the 4 week program.

The instructor will offer a minimum of 2 meeting times each week that will remain constant throughout the program. Typically, one offering in the morning and one in the evening to accommodate a variety of schedules and time zones.

Participants are required to attend a minimum of 3 instructional video conferences to satisfy the certificate completion requirements. Makeup sessions are offered in week 4 of the program.
